Braille Everywhere Project Portfolio
As part of Braille Forward’s mission to normalize and expand Braille usage, we have partnered with different organizations to provide custom tactile Braille resources to make public spaces such as libraries, museums, and art exhibits more accessible.
The universally designed tactile map of La Nube’s 4th floor includes a key describing the symbols that represent important features such as doors, restrooms, water fountains, and more. 3D-printed Braille descriptions for each exhibit and raised lines to indicate walls and stairs, allowing for a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Between Window and Grass (2026) Chanika Svetvilas
This art piece was inspired by Neil Marcus’s “Disabled Country” along with the artist’s experiences with psychiatric hospitalization, embodiment, and medical spaces, this project reflects on observing everyday life from hospital windows and brings those reflections back into public space. Braille Forward supported Svetvilas’s efforts to make her exhibit more accessible with custom signage that includes English and Spanish text along with English and Spanish Braille. These signs support the story that is told by her art while supporting her vision for the piece.
